My Initial Ideas

Now I have my chosen brand and looked into the products, market and personal presentation they have in their collections, I want to look into creating a new collection for them. I have thought of a couple of products that I will include in the advertising, like the Powder Blusher, Katie.

I am thinking of going down the theatrical route, and creating a look that looks like a painting, wig, clothing, makeup. The whole lot. I want to convoy the feel of texture, show the raw brush strokes, in a 1770 style. My Main inspiration for this was of course the eccentric, Marie Antoinette. I want to incorporate her elaborate hair do's into wigs and have this as the running link through my editorial, advertisement and catwalk looks.

Why do I want to do this? I want to create another world, as Illamasqua always do. Mixing make-up with period paintings, and creating that thick texture that makes you want to touch it to see what it feels like.

With the editorial I want to create a party of some sort, girls gigging, eating cake and drinking tea, but captured as if a painting from the late 1700's. With warm pastel colours for the day look, covaying the feeling of happiness with friends and food! With the wigs I want to make it so it reflects that it is summer with butterflys an birds int he hair.

With the night look I was think more along the line of sorrow, sadness, with the use of deeper plum colours, for a more sinister feel, and maybe use of shadows over the face. With the wigs in he night look, I want to maybe add bugs into the hair so subcontionsly you think darker as well as the image itself.
