I think one of the most frequently asked question is, what is the difference between editorial and advertising?
Quite simply, editorial is what would be shown in a magazine. Examples below:
Advertising is selling a product or brand, advertising tends to look a lot cleaner, using simple lighting to really show off the clothing or make up. Examples below:
Editorial images sells more of the mood and the situation the clothing or makeup. There aren't any rules in editorial fashion, its a bit more laid back in its approach.
With this in mind I will keep my advert clean and my editorial going out of the box so to speak.
