When creating my catwalk look I will have the same concept, Texture, in the hair and makeup. So the images below are all the found inspiration that has brought me to my desired look.
With the hair, I was mainly inspired with the bottom right image, I have spoken about this artist in another blog post, but Asya Kozina is an amazing paper artist and has created many beautiful historical wigs especially the Baroque era. I will buy a pre made wig as I will not have enough time to make one from scratch myself, and spray paint it white all over to take away the acrylic shine. This will therefore create the texture I desire. I will then be setting a scene within the wig, a birds nest with birds in it and petals in the hair complimenting the makeup. I thought that as everything is so fast paced int he catwalk industry with makeup and hair that if this was to be done in that time frame it would be, the wigs already dressed and all you have to do is pin it to the head.
When thinking of the make-up I wanted to keep it simple like the portrait of Marie Antoinette, soft cheeks and rose lip. However, I don't want it so simple that all you look at is the wig. I want it so you feel that rich quality, so I decided firstly the base, the base is to have a slight white sheen to it and you are able to see the texture of the make-up brush, to resemble a painting. To have a soft brow and brushed upwards, but not so dramatic you eyes are drawn to it. To create a catwalk esc look I want to get some pearls and stick them to the face to outline the eyes and cheeks. On the eyes I want limited amount of mascara and to have fake individual eyelashes on the outer corner of the eyes. Finally on the lips I will be using the chosen brands rosepout lipstick to keep to that soft pastel theme.
